To Xubuntu/Ubuntu , or not to Xubuntu/Ubuntu My old PC

Tis the question. I’ve checked out www.ubuntu.org , and everything seems brilliant about it. Free , all basic software included in xubuntu , and with Wine you can install most windows programs. Simple , non? Just , you have to be quite experienced to run it. You install some things manually , but since other people use it , functionality would not be a problem. You can even shared xubuntu word processor documents with windows word etc. So I’m going to download it free, Unless you do something quickly

It does. As does vista . Nothing about it is creative in any way. They couldn’t even think up a good name

” windoze movie maka? “

“yes!!!”

I mean. For a mere £50 extra , you could go get pinnacle studio , for £50.

it has great effects , and is extremly easy to use and user friendly.

Also , on a non-title related note , BB 4/93 was on tonight. Some of the pointless and hardcore bitching that we’re used to! Since Mario and Steph are getting ” Married ” , Dale , Dennis and Mikey dressed up as bunnies for the stag do. Later on , Mario , DEnnis and Mikey were in the bathtub , when mikey found a thong ( :P ). He put it on over his costume , and straddled around in it. The owner of mentioned garment was Bitch of the Week Alex , who made a big fuss of it all and swore around fuck=shitbastard2  many times. To be brutally and obviously racistly honest , as Labour would put it , Mikey meant no malice to the black sheila. He found a thong by the bathtub and preceded to put it on. OhFUCKING No! Mikey is a friendly guy. He’s the only one who hasn’t had the standard Newspaper Secret Revelation , and he seems quite down to earth. If Mario and co. pass the task , I hope To the pit of my heart that she gets evicted and falls off the stairwell into a coincidentally appearing puddle of [insert toxic chemical name here ] .

Mikey is apparently at 4/1 to win it already. I’ve got no quarrels with the guy , and I’d be content if he won. He , like Darnell isn’t playing the disablity card , which I find invorigating. Although , I’d prefer  Mario or Dennis to win , becuase they’re both big characters and look like they’ll stay the whole 3 months.

Perhaps tomorrow you can enjoy longer indulgence in my posts , but until then#

WordPress. How does it weigh up against other Blogging hosts?

•June 8, 2008 • Leave a Comment

In actual fact , I’d say it has the edge on other hosting companies. Not only is it free , and remotely hosted , but you can incorperate it into a normal website too , giving you a much wider theme choice. If you don’t beleive this God of a statement , check out http://www.themes.wordpress.com.

Blogger-

Good Points:

  1. AdSense – Make a profit if you can legally go to prison
  2. RSS and Link feed – Instant notification of recent blog posts
  3. Google makes it easier to search similar content on other blogging sites

Bad Points

  1. Canot be used in a seperate website
  2. Few Stylish themes
  3. No extra stand-alone pages

Twitter-

Good Points ;

  1. easy to post
  2. Javascript Code – Paste into Html File , use in website
  3. Easy access to other twitter sites]]

Bad Points

  1. 140 word limit
  2. Too simple
  3. Can’t compete with other hosts

WordPress-

Good Points ;

  1. Stylish Themes
  2. Custom Pages
  3. Incorparative into a seperate website
  4. easy to use
  5. Very Customisable

Bad Points ;

  1. Very Limited Themes
  2. Take’s some getting used to
  3. Some features are hard to use
  4. some features hard to find

So , all in all , it’s kind of a matter of opinion. But , to be honest I think that wordpress is better , mainly because it’s a blog , but you can convert it into a website if you feel the need. If you have any other Blog Hosting sites , comment and I’ll check it out , and edit this post :)

Expect some more words of wisdom later this 24 hour period. I’m planning this to be daily , so I’ll make up for yesterday’s miss

The new series of channel four’s Big Brother

Was kicked off yesterday. The entrances were mad and egotastical , in keep with the stereo-type that has formed over the years. Sixteen initial “housemates” this time. Nice Number. All of the new contestants have something diffirent about them , or have certain qualities which will make great viewing in the next 3 or so centuries that it usually goes on for. Another Homosexual , so the minorities don’t kickup a fuss ( :P ) , a blind man , introducing something new that could stirr up something JUICY.

The variation of people is much more blatant this year than it was last year. From a cookie loving Thai Midget to a Sylvester_Stallone lookalike-wannabee. I love how they got the first four housemates deeply involved ( Lisa Appleton, Mario Marconi, Luke Marsden and Stephanie McMichael ) . Mario and Lisa , the first couple in the entire show’s history , have to pretend that they are not a couple , and Mario must pretend to be in a relationship with student Stephanie. A 42 Year old executive and 19 year old Uni Pupil doesn’t sound too great , so Mario lost ten years of his life ( Lol ) , so the relationship was slightly justified.

Sad thing is we didn’t get a /great/ look at all the rooms. I love how the producers have re-made the house in such a provocative way . The Mix of one Luxury , double bedded 8 ( 16 if all of them shared , but this is Big Brother ) berth room , and a complete hole with inch thick matresses and despicable furnishings. The bathroom was pretty luscious. The open shower will cause some distress , as there is a glass window and door into the bathroom , so privacy , as usual , is pretty much restricted to the diary room. Also , the new entrance was a nice character test , seeing if they hesitated or just went straight down can tell  a lot about someone. The split stairs leave the way for the diary room at the bottom and in between.

The next episode was on on tonight as well. As well as revealing the garden ( very well designed , I might add. Kudos to the producers ). A small room with two seats. A smoking area shaped like an ashtray. a Jacuzzi. Sunbeds. Only entrance to absolute luxury bedroom.

Also , on the topic of characters , that slightly self-destructive thai lady got lost in The House. Couldn’t remember where the bedroom was :-/

More gutting and discrimination in your pleasant lives soon. But for now

*slumber*
